Project details
Quayside Workplace reimagines a multi-floor office environment to support organisational growth, collaboration and employee wellbeing. Designed around evolving ways of working, the project creates a flexible workplace that balances focused individual work with vibrant collaborative spaces, establishing an environment that can adapt to the future needs of the business.
Developed as part of a wider workplace transformation, the project expands and reconfigures an existing office across four connected floors to create a flexible, future-focused working environment. The design responds to changing workplace expectations by providing a balanced mix of individual, collaborative and social settings that support hybrid working while encouraging interaction and knowledge sharing.
The design concept draws inspiration from Newcastle’s Quayside, interpreting the city’s bridges, shipbuilding heritage and culture of innovation through materiality, form and spatial planning. Layered architectural language, robust material palettes and vibrant feature spaces create a workplace with a distinctive identity while remaining timeless and adaptable.
Throughout the workplace, a diverse range of work settings has been introduced to support different styles of working, from quiet focus areas and informal touchdown spaces to collaborative project zones, meeting rooms and flexible event spaces. A central collaboration hub provides capacity for larger presentations, workshops and training sessions, ensuring the workplace can evolve alongside the organisation as it continues to grow.
