Fareham Leisure Centre has been revitalised through an extension and refurbishment that created a new and exciting facility mix for the local community.
The new extension houses a climbing wall, party rooms and holistic studio, while the refurbished existing building includes a new splash pad, remodelled café space and upgraded fitness facilities. The newly expanded gym features state-of-the-art equipment, while the centre’s two swimming pools continue to support a wide range of aquatic activities.
Internally, old and new are tied together through a strong interior design strategy that introduces more colour, life and vibrancy into the building. The result is a renewed community asset that supports health, wellbeing and everyday leisure use for families, fitness users and the wider Fareham community.

Commercial Value
Fareham Leisure Centre delivers commercial value through a cost-effective retrofit approach that maximises the potential of the existing asset while introducing new income-generating facilities. The climbing wall, party rooms, expanded gym, remodelled café and family-focused splash pad broaden the centre’s offer and support more diverse use throughout the day. The project also helped secure a 15-year operator contract, providing long-term stability and confidence in the centre’s future performance.

Social Impact
The refurbishment has renewed Fareham Leisure Centre as an inclusive, family-focused community asset, supporting health, wellbeing and social connection through a wider range of activities.
