Project details

GT3 Interiors partnered with Everyone Active to develop a comprehensive suite of design guidelines, creating a consistent approach across one of the UK's largest leisure portfolios. The framework balances brand identity with the flexibility to respond to individual sites, operational requirements and the needs of local communities.

Over the past five years, GT3 Interiors has worked closely with Everyone Active to develop and evolve a comprehensive suite of interior design guidelines that support one of the UK’s largest sport and leisure operators. More than a traditional brand manual, the framework establishes a clear design language that shapes how leisure environments look, feel and function across a diverse national portfolio.

The guidance covers every stage of the customer journey, from arrival experiences and receptions through to cafés, changing facilities, fitness environments, social spaces and circulation areas. It also defines the use of graphics, signage, wayfinding, furniture, finishes and material palettes, ensuring every environment delivers a recognisable Everyone Active experience while remaining flexible enough to respond to local communities, existing buildings and operational requirements.

The result is a design framework that continues to guide new developments and refurbishments, creating consistency across the portfolio while allowing each facility to retain its own identity.

Key Deliverables

  1. 01

    Commercial Value

The design guidelines provide a consistent framework that streamlines the delivery of refurbishment and new-build projects across a national estate. By establishing clear design principles, the framework reduces design duplication, improves decision-making and strengthens brand recognition while maintaining flexibility across different building types. This consistent approach enhances operational efficiency, supports future investment and creates long-term value across one of the UK’s largest leisure portfolios.

  2. 02

    Social Impact

By creating familiar, intuitive and welcoming leisure environments, the design guidelines help improve the experience of every visitor. Consistent customer journeys, accessible layouts and clear wayfinding encourage participation while making facilities easier to navigate for people of all ages and abilities. Balancing national consistency with local identity, the framework supports inclusive leisure environments that place people, wellbeing and community at the heart of the design process.
