ATLAS James & Maria Close is a new restaurant experience at Rockliffe Hall, designed to support the next chapter of the resort's hospitality offering. The project combines contemporary interior design with a carefully considered customer journey, creating a destination that reflects the quality of the dining experience while responding to the character of the wider estate.
ATLAS James & Maria Close forms part of the wider transformation of Rockliffe Hall, creating a new restaurant that enhances the resort’s hospitality offering. Located within a purpose-built pavilion, the design provides a series of carefully connected spaces that guide guests from arrival through to the dining experience.
The interior balances warmth, elegance and simplicity, using a refined palette of materials, lighting and bespoke detailing to create an environment that feels welcoming throughout the day and evening. Alongside the main restaurant, a dedicated Champagne Bar provides an additional social space, broadening the guest experience and supporting the wider operation of the resort.
Every aspect of the design has been developed to complement the culinary vision while creating a distinctive setting that strengthens Rockliffe Hall’s reputation as one of the North East’s leading hospitality destinations.
