We’re delighted to share that four of our projects have been named as finalists in the ukactive Awards 2026, recognising their contribution to communities across the UK.

The annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation across the physical activity sector, recognising the organisations, facilities and teams helping more people to be active.

This year, four projects we have been involved in have been shortlisted across two award categories.

Bedworth Physical Activity Hub

Build, Design or Refurbishment of the Year

Bedworth Physical Activity Hub has been named as a finalist in the Build, Design or Refurbishment of the Year category.

Designed to create a welcoming and inclusive destination for physical activity, the hub brings together a wide range of facilities to support the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Clay Cross Active

Build, Design or Refurbishment of the Year

Clay Cross Active has also been shortlisted for Build, Design or Refurbishment of the Year.

The new facility was developed to provide a modern and accessible leisure destination for Clay Cross and the surrounding communities, creating more opportunities for people to get active.

Eston Leisure Centre

Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year, North of England

Eston Leisure Centre has been recognised as a finalist in the Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year category for the North of England.

The recognition celebrates the facility and the role it continues to play in providing accessible opportunities for physical activity within its community.

Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre

Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year, Midlands & East Anglia

Completing the four finalists is Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre, shortlisted for Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year in the Midlands & East Anglia region.

The centre provides a wide range of sport, leisure and wellbeing facilities, supporting its local community and encouraging people of different ages and abilities to be active.

Celebrating our leisure projects

Seeing four projects recognised in the same year is a brilliant reflection of the thought, collaboration and commitment behind each one.

At GT3, our approach to sport and leisure design is centred around creating places that respond to the people who use them and the communities they serve. We’re proud to see these projects receiving national recognition and, more importantly, the positive impact they are already having within their communities.
