Project details

Waterstons is a workplace transformation shaped through GT3's Consultancy and Interiors teams. Beginning with a people-led consultancy process, the project aligned workplace strategy with organisational culture to create an environment that supports collaboration, wellbeing and future growth

Following a sustained period of growth, Waterstons recognised that its workplace no longer reflected the way its people worked or the ambitions of the business. Rather than beginning with a traditional design brief, GT3’s Consultancy team worked alongside leadership and employees to understand the organisation’s culture, behaviours and aspirations before any design work began. Through workshops, interviews and collaborative engagement, the team developed a workplace strategy rooted in the needs of the business and the people who use it every day.

These insights informed the interior design, resulting in a flexible workplace built around a variety of task-based settings that encourage collaboration, focused work, creativity and social interaction. The design embraces Waterstons’ vibrant identity while providing adaptable spaces that support different working styles and enable the business to continue evolving. Rather than delivering a conventional office refurbishment, the project demonstrates how workplace strategy and interior design can work together to strengthen culture, improve wellbeing and create an environment where people can perform at their best.

Key Deliverables

  1. 01

    Commercial Value

By placing organisational culture at the centre of the briefing process, the project delivers a workplace that supports long-term business performance as well as day-to-day operations. Flexible spaces enable teams to adapt as the business evolves, while the strategic approach helps improve collaboration, attract talent and maximise the value of the workplace investment.

  2. 02

    Social Impact

The project demonstrates the value of designing with people rather than simply for them. Through extensive engagement, employees helped shape an environment that reflects how they work, collaborate and connect. The result is a workplace that promotes wellbeing, strengthens organisational culture and creates a more enjoyable and productive experience for everyone using the space.

What our clients say

Working with GT3 was a collaborative experience; they took the time to understand not just our practical needs, but the culture and personality we've built since we started.
