Simon Baker
Senior ArchitectOriginally from the South West, Simon moved to Newcastle to study, qualifying as an architect in 2018, and now very much considers the north east home. As part of his Masters degree, Simon was part of a small team that designed and built a community space in rural Northumberland and this project ignited a strong interest in project delivery. As a project architect Simon is passionate about working with people to create spaces that have a strong sense of place and connection to their locale.
Outside of the office, Simon enjoys playing hockey in the North East Hockey League, walks at the beach (with compulsory coffee & cake pit stops!), and is an active member of his local church.
Specialisms: Simon’s experience covers all RIBA stages across a range of sectors including leisure, commercial, and residential. He enjoys working closely with clients and the wider consultant team, utilising this collaborative approach to identify opportunities and proactively solve problems.
Personal Ambition: "To travel across New Zealand in a campervan…. Closer to home, I’d love to build a woodfired pizza oven in the back garden…"
