Eric Hampel

Finance Director

Originally from Canada, Eric is a designated accountant and experienced finance leader whos’ career has taken him from Toronto, Canada to Perth, Australia and now Newcastle. Eric has successfully improved and scaled businesses including taking a company to a multi-million pound IPO on the LSE. He believes that a strong finance function with robust reporting capability is a key ingredient to a successful and scalable business. Since joining GT3 he has undertaken projects to streamline the finance function, improve reporting to the leadership team, and developing the next 3-year strategy.

When he’s not working, Eric can be found either on or below the water (fishing or scuba diving), going for a run or traveling. Reading is also a favourite during downtime. Eric is an active volunteer with PKD UK and the Tyne River Trust.

Specialisms: Eric enjoys translating financial data into commercial insight for both finance and non-finance leaders and actioning practical improvements within a finance function.

Personal Ambition: To spend a season or two volunteering on a marine conservation project where I can combine diving with giving back to nature… as long as its somewhere warm!
