Ella Hughes

Ella studied Interior Architecture at Northumbria University between 2019 and 2022, graduating in 2022 with a First Class Honours after an enjoyable but challenging few years of studying. Whilst at university, Ella won the GT3 People Architecture Award for Best Interior Architecture project and won Highly Commended in the Creative Writing Prize for her theory paper about relatively unknown female designers in the early 20th century.

Ella studied German at school and is currently calling on Duolingo to rediscover that and possibly learn dutch in her spare time. She’d also like to do more traveling after a fabulous trip to Barcelona to see everything Gaudi.

Specialisms: Ella is keen to develop her skills within the Workplace and Leisure sectors whilst at GT3. She is a strategic thinker, who considers the end user's experience when spatial planning. She loves researching a building or site's history, to utilise the knowledge to influence its design proposal. She is passionate about heritage sites.

Personal Ambition: "Keep learning and be positive! Maybe rediscover my German speaking for long-anticipated trips to Berlin and Vienna."
