Sport & Leisure
GT3 Architects are sports and leisure specialists having delivered a wide range of projects in this sector throughout the UK. We are passionate about innovation and how new technologies can benefit both the users and operators of the facilities we design and deliver. We have been at the forefront of introducing new features and activities into our leisure projects including ‘Clip’n’Climb’ and ‘FlowRider’ static surfing and recent innovations include using gym equipment to heat pool water and using a unique moss product to remove chemicals in pool water.
Our leisure centres are increasingly becoming flexible community facilities, providing wellbeing opportunities for the widest possible range of ages and abilities and to meet the requirements for health and wellbeing, training, competition, socialising, and learning. More recently our projects have increasingly combined a unique blend of uses to create leisure destinations that play a role in the regeneration of towns and cities and act as a catalyst for further future development.
GT3 Architects are heavily engaged in developing best-practice in the sports and leisure industry both in partnership with relevant National Governing Bodies but also with the key leisure operators. We have helped to write the most recent Sport England regulations and have an excellent understanding of current guidance and policy. We also possess considerable knowledge and awareness of where key revenue generators can be incorporated into the scheme and how informed design can be used to reduce capital and life-cycle costs.
Our ongoing commitment to research and development has enabled us to work on a wide range of sport and leisure projects – from community sports stadia to local and regional, wet and dry leisure centres and large-scale extreme sports parks.
